CHRISTIANS ATHEISTS EVERYONE; Answer this question please?

multi level marketing
Dr Gonzo asked:

…well its mostly for the christians but im sure the atheists will hjave something to say

its about the tv those preacher guys…. the ones who are OBVIOUSLY Atheists but pretend to believe to make money LOTS of money…

I just wanna know what everyone thinks of them, I personally do not believe in the death penalty (in priniciple) but i think these folks really shouldnt be alive….

and i just wanna know who gives money to them?

here is some info about pat robertson…

he makes money dealing **** and

diamond mines with miners who are slaves

Estimates of Pat Robertson’s net worth vary between 140 million and a billion dollars. While the exact figure is not known, there is little doubt that he is a wealthy man… An extremely wealthy man with a “mammoth media, educational, and legal empire”.

“Robertson lives on the top of a Virginia mountain, in a huge mansion with a private airstrip. He owns the Ice Capades [Pat Robertson's International Family Entertainment Inc bought Ice Capades In February 1995 from Dorothy Hamill for $10 million], a small hotel, diamond mines (in Zaire), a vitamin company (Kalo Vita) involved in a multi-level marketing scheme along the lines of Amway, and until recently, International Family Entertainment, parent company of the Family Channel … all estimated to be worth between $150-200 million”. [http://www.rapidnet.com/~jbeard/bdm/exposes/robertson/general.htm]

However Pat Robertson is unique among all the other crooks mentioned on this page, some of whom could be charitably considered ‘vastly deluded individuals’. He has taken the word ‘Christian’ leader to new lows, partially lining his pockets by getting involved with diamond-mining operations and brutal dictators and dealing with peddlers of porn… all the while peddling his version of the truth to millions

i just ignore them. if people are dumb enough to give them money, then that is their problem, not mine.

your not being overly zealous are you?

Bailey @ 1:07 am

For one, I don’t think they’re “OBVIOUSLY atheist”.

Other than that, I don’t think they’re worth occupying space in my thoughts.

They make for good entertainment late at night.

BE HE-ALED BAH THE POWEH OF JEEEEEEEEZUS.

RAPTOR ~RIP~ Debra M @ 7:36 am

Pat Robertson is human scum. Old news. We’ve known it over here for decades. WHY people still take him seriously is beyond me.

I don’t think he’s an atheist. He’s just a Grade-A hypocrite.

chutedent @ 9:53 am

that is great research but I wish you could spend that time and energy studying word of Jesus.

Anyone who preaches for money, or listens to people who preach for money, needs to seriously reconsider their religious practices.

March 11, 2009

Mean Gene @ 1:26 am

Pat Robertson has indeed been blessed. He has led millions to salvation through Christ.

I give money to my church, I trust my church’s stance on where the money goes and know it does…

If at anytime, my church purchased fake wigs, golden chairs, and expanded to look like something out of the playboy mansion, I would cease donation and find a new church.

Perhaps you christians should spend more time preaching to these guys than to us Atheists.

gypsywitch @ 3:37 pm

I feel that every one has to deal with their own karma if they do bad stuff.
I am not aggravated about all the things Pat Robertson has, it’s possible that he probably has helped alot of people who believe in what he preaches. What I mean by that is there are people who long to go to church but don’t have any way to get there. They can watch him on t.v. and get some religious meaning from his sermon.

March 18, 2009

Samwise @ 9:57 pm

I don’t believe they’re necessarily atheists. It’s a whole lot easier to gull people into following you and giving you money if you believe, wholeheartedly, what you are preaching. Not practicing the virtues you preach is a remarkably durable human trait, because it pays off handsomely.

“You cannot serve both God and wealth” remains an important Biblical warning.

they should be thrown in a lion pit.. see what it was like for the people who kept the faith they’re abusing alive

There are absolutely bucket loads of money to be made from religion – pushing it or treating it … and all perfectly LEGAL – if only I could keep a straight face.

They should sell all their goods and follow Jesus.

lmao Bring it on! I love the truth. I’ve always known he’s dirty. There were always hints there. He always had excuses for everything. Now I know what a fraud he is, just like the rest of them.

March 27, 2009

Snark @ 1:57 pm

I don’t think Pat Robertson is an atheist.

I think he’s an ***.

March 28, 2009

________ @ 11:59 pm

you’re so right..its obvious theyre atheists….no one else does no-nos

March 31, 2009

pdjh @ 3:09 pm

God lets Pat do this, because most people do not truly understand the Bible.
The Bible is not that good, and if you get sucked-in by Pat, then you would be a fool and your money would go to Pat and God would laugh.
Most religions are based on “Blind Faith” meaning that you just trust the priest and that is that. The books about Jesus and Islam and some Hindu books and Zen and Buddha are not very clear and so people really should be a bit smarter about this stuff and not trust the words to be the “Truth” all the time.
Would you believe everything you read in the newspaper or the internet? Of course not, so why believe a bunch of holy books that clearly can not all be right, like one of them has to have the story wrong!

Pat makes money from peoples’ lack of knowledge (yet he will be going to hell one day)

For once, I agree with Bailey.

Ninja Turtle AM @ 5:50 am

They are atheists? Now you are really a bigot.

I am quite sure they are true blue christians, isn’t christianity all about money? Look at the size of the churches!!! Look at the soccer field size car parks!!! Look at the size of the mansion the pastors live in!!!! Look at the size of ….. well you got the point.

LJ @ 10:26 am

Check out The not for profit religious charities are interesting. Notice how much money the CEO or president makes for running the charity. Then notice how much money the VP makes. It’s usually the wife or other close relative of the president or CEO. Very interesting. I wonder if Jesus would have taken a cut. Probably not. Billy Graham does. Check out some of your favorite charities to see how they disperse donations.

what a complete hippocritical freaking @$$!! geez! it is ppl like that who make me sick. i hope he gets shot or something. sry pplbut thats just not kool AT ALL

April 6, 2009

mroof! @ 12:03 pm

I don’t pay attention to any of them:

It’s just marketing on television (I actually don’t watch much tv either: guess that makes me strange).

To say they’re atheists however; seems like a potshot on atheists to me. You can’t be 100% sure what they do/don’t believe unless you’re literally in their head or know them very well personally.

April 9, 2009

Angeltress @ 3:41 am

Yeah, it ticks me off, too.
In my house, we don’t watch televangelists, and the Totally Blasphemous Network is blocked.
Christians ought not to be so gullible.

April 10, 2009

moley @ 7:45 pm

I’m not sure about your “facts” about Pat Robertson. Sounds a little to me like you are twisting some if not all.

I am a Christian. I do know there are bad preachers out there. Those who are in it for money and their messages seem to treat God like a Genie. Pray three times and make a wish.

I struggle with preachers and churches that seem to have a lot of money. I wonder if it’s right. But then I have the thought that God is rewarding those who work for him. Kind of like your boss. You do a good job, you receive more money.
God may be similar in that he takes care of those who love and do his work.

Some abuse the gifts, some give much of it back.

Take comfort that on the day of judgment, God will take care of those false preachers.

April 13, 2009

T Leeves @ 2:38 am

I figured out the evangelical scheme when I was about six years old. Haven’t given it much thought since, except for a good laugh when one of them gets caught for being naughty.

Fremont Troll @ 6:02 am

People worship his celebrity status and wealth more than they do his god-fearing message. That part is secondary to his whole media-entertainment empire.

But you are right. He should take the chip out of his own eye before he complains about the log in his nation’s eye.

April 14, 2009

Lizard of Ahaz reanimated @ 12:22 am

They aren’t atheists they are as deluded as their flocks like Ted Haggard and Kent Hovind who believe the Flintstones is the history channel . Their psychopathic sickness is one of the many things that make them so dangerous . They believe they will be forgiven after they die because they do believe .

April 15, 2009

Daughter of the King @ 3:09 pm

WOW - I had no idea.
Makes me feel kinda’ pukie inside.
Unreal!!

April 18, 2009

rci1940 @ 4:57 pm

I agree that tv evangelists (most of them) are probably “crooked” and that is really sad. They get their money from mostly elderly people who believe they are honest preachers. The only consolation is that they have got to stand before God someday and will answer for what they do in this life.

April 20, 2009

Fancy Ted, Violator @ 12:03 pm

Pat Robertson can bench press a space shuttle.

April 23, 2009

Geezah @ 6:05 pm

You’re just finding out NOW that Pat Robertson and his ilk are despicable hypocrites? Where have you been living, under a rock?

And I don’t see how these people are “obviously atheists”. Not being an ideal “Christian in practice” doesn’t make you an atheist (one who does not believe in deity) by default. In fact, I have no doubt that Robertson is NOT an atheist. But he is indeed a scumbag.

April 24, 2009

prettybellasabryal @ 7:42 pm

Wow this is a loaded question - i think i am agnostic…i dunno, but watever. i think the “christian talk show hosts”are totally full sh*tt! Anyways, i **** how they always ask for money and sooo many “christian” people are like brainwashed into believing those guys!and then after they r totally dilusional, and so they give ppl money.tada the stupid way of the world everybody seems to b after money…^_^ im me if u wanna at or myspace.com/sabryal^_^ttyl i hope…
