How do you “deprogram” someone involved in a pyramid scheme?

multi level marketing
swtnlvly1979 asked:

My friend and her husband are involved in a multi-level marketing scheme that they swear will lead them to riches and allow them to quit their day jobs. However, they’ve been involved 4 years and in that time they’ve lost their house to foreclosure, and had phones, power, etc, shut off in their apartment after not paying their bills to put more money into the scheme. He is even considering giving blood for money. They have great day jobs but no money now. They won’t listen to anyone but the people above them in the pyramid, not to mention these “pyramid people” try to rope them in with religion, saying they are “harvesting souls for God”, through this “business”. Last time I checked, greed was not from God. I can’t seem to get them to listen to reason. Anyone else had a similar experience?

What is this movie called?

multi level marketing
Towelie asked:

It came out in the last two years and is a spoof on multi-level marketing companies. The one exchange I remember from the online preview is:

Husband: My upline says you have to be behind me.

Wife: Aww, ***** your upline!!

Husband: Take that back!!!!!

This whole dialog was pure schtick

Lilly J asked:

Our non-profit group works with many individuals and groups to improve the quality of their lives and our community. We have recieve small grants but need to purchase the building we are in or relocate to another site. We have taught over 60,000 students in public and private schools. Our community programs include (but not limited to) parent-child classes, teen groups 12 step support for both teens and adults using art as alternitive way to spend time & express emotions, adoption and bonding issues, help with family resteration & communication skills with art, interaction between genrations, building self-esteme and positive attitudes for abused children and adults, homeless shelters and many other activities. We work with multi-populace, multi-cultural and multi-level “students” using art as the catylist. Our landlord has been placed in a serious financial situation with the housing market so poor. He can no longer fund our location. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks - Lilly
